Known for its eclectic mix of bars and restaurants, the East Village has no shortage of places to get drinks. Oftentimes the biggest challenge is knowing which bars to go to and where the specials are. Fortunately, we talked to agents and staff who live and work in the area, compiling a list of the best happy hour deals in the neighborhood.
Drop Off Service $
The Deal: $3 craft beers and $5 well drinks on weekdays from 3 to 8 and weekends from 1 to 8.
PC: TimeOut
Named after its past life as a laundromat, Drop Off Service is the perfect happy hour spot for a cheap craft beer, says Mirador marketing lead Kirsten Stone. “The bar has the nice low-key vibe of the East Village while still being warm and inviting!” she says.
The Mermaid Inn $$$
The Deal: $1 East Coast oysters, and select $5 beers, $7 wines and $8 cocktails every day from 5 to 7.

While the Mermaid Inn may be “upscale” for the East Village, they still have “great food and drink specials for their happy hour!” says Jessica Milton, Mirador licensed real estate salesperson specializing in the East Village. Come for the $1 oysters, stay for the mermaids.
Miss Lily’s $$
The Deal: $5 draft, tap, well, and wine every day from 12 to 7.
PC: Cool Cities
If you’re looking for a place with a casual, island vibe, look no further than Miss Lily’s. Our licensed real estate salesperson Brittany Lopez considers this one of her East Village favorites because of its extended hours and Caribbean atmosphere.
International Bar $
The Deal: $1 off all drinks every day from noon to 8.

Mirador finance manager Michael Roquet calls International Bar his go-to for its atmosphere. “They have a great tiny little backyard that's super cozy...it's always full of characters,” he says.
The DL $$
The Deal: $4 domestics; $5 imports; $6 well drinks; $6 wines Tuesday through Friday from 5:30 to 8.
PC: Discotech
If you’re looking for atmosphere, The DL is your place. “They have a cool enclosed garden/outdoor space. It has a summer vibe all year round,” says Mirador licensed real estate salesperson Racquel Popovic.
La Palapa $$
The Deal: 1/2 price margaritas, sangria, well drinks, glasses of wine & beers, and a Special Bar Antojitos Menu all week from 4 to 7.
PC: Zomato
A St. Mark’s institution, La Palapa is a great happy hour spot perfect for an authentic Margarita. Not only are the drinks amazing, but the food is also creative and tasty according to Jessica Milton, Mirador licensed real estate salesperson.
Avenida Cantina $$
The Deal: 2 for 1 cans and wells Monday through Friday from noon to 7.
This brightly-colored, casual East Village spot is perfect for some happy hour drinks after work. Our licensed real estate salesperson Paul Magyar suggests Avenida Cantina for “great tex mex.”
